‘Boundary Rider’ is a body of work displayed at Northern Rivers Community Gallery, January-March 2026. The exhibition was made alongside Jacqueline’s brother, Dane.
We find that developing a personal relationship with the surrounding environment and its natural rhythms opens up deeper inner knowing. Connecting with place is a portal into understanding self. When we deepen bodily connections with nature, greater respect and empathy is emanated for self and then out into the world. At a time when lives are increasingly online and disconnected from the local, we see this connection as vital.
This work is born from attending to natural rhythms. Moon cycles, dawn/dusk, tidal shifts, rolling hinterland, earth’s strata & night skies were ingredients in the making process. These elements guided our digital animation and painting practices, inspiring us to experiment with materials in an effort to speak to their daily presence and explore the intangible connections between outer and inner worlds they elicit. These special connections between world, mind and body are more felt than decisive. Art offers a way to dwell in this atmosphere.
Boundary Rider is an invitation into our world and deeper into yours.
Head up. Slow down. Move into yourself.
