Now With Jumbled!

The legends at Jumbled Online are now representing my practice! An Australian business based in Orange, NSW, Jumbled is a powerhouse store with original art, homewares and fashion. All that they curate is quality and joyous, so I am thrilled to be a part of this gang. The way they present and photograph their stock is so true to life, shopping online is way easier!

These four Borderlands pieces were specially chosen by the team and are now available here

Lethbridge Landscape Prize

Dane and I are proud to be selected as a finalist in this year’s Lethbridge Landscape Prize with our video loop ‘Threshold’. If you are in the Brisbane/Paddington area I encourage you to drop in to have a look at the exquisite finalist exhibition. It is filled with many ‘wow factor’ paintings, there is a lot to love. Check out all the finalist works here.

If you get to the show, I recommend heading just down the road to Naim restaurant for some middle-eastern deliciousness, or to Hai Hai for some japanese. These are two places that I have missed since leaving Brisbane!

Magic Beach Series

New work is happening! These three paintings are the first stage of ‘Magic Beach’. The title is borrowed from Alison Lester’s children’s book of the same name. My son LOVES the beach, which he calls ‘Magic beach’ just as we read in the book (on repeat). This book pulled me back to my own childhood and captures Garry’s approach to the seaside- whimsical and full of life.

These new paintings aim to embody in their abstraction, our repeated beach journeys. replete with paths, wave rhythms, shifting sands, Rockpool life, changing skies and the steadfast horizon.
Garry’s energy and curiosity have shifted my beach experiences. I hope these paintings help me never forget how beautiful this time in my life has been. May Garry forever hold a ‘Magic Beach’ inside.
